How I Got Back to Firefox

I've been using firefox as my default browser for more than 5 years now. I don't remember why I decided to try it out though, but anyways, I liked it! from a user who went through a wide range of browsers including Netscape navigator, Opera, IE, Safari, Mozilla and Mozilla Firefox, none of them managed to capture my attention as much as Firefox. It was versatile, it had add-ons and other tweaks and toys to play with, the configurations were simple and easy to navigate through, it looked good and mostly importantly, it looked cool, and of course, the concept of tabbed browsing was a total success, I found out that being able to open up 8 sites at the same time without having different windows cluttering your taskbar was an awesome thing, of course, IE didn't have that feature prior to V7.0, even after they adopted it as well, I still like Firefox. Thank you Adam Stiles!

Mozilla applys a fair amount of upgrades to Firefox, V3.0 being the latest (which I upgraded to just today! but I'll mention the reason later). The new look of firefox is totally different than how it looked like in it's previous version, most of the changes that I noticed applies to the looks, so the upgrade made it look like I just applied a different skin to firefox.

The upgrade was done totally out of coincidence, I had lagging issues when trying to load up a site. Sites that I always go to almost everyday such as flickr.com, gmail.com and so on. The site would take an abnormal 3-4 seconds before it fully loads up. You might say that it's just 3-4 seconds! Yeah, but I used to get those sites in a split second, so 3-4 seconds seems like eternity to me believe it or not. But anyways, it would happen with 4+ tabs and even with just one, so I figured that the number of sites doesn't have anything to do with it. I also checked my task manger and didn't find find any fishy through firefox's process, so what the hell?
I tried to get used to it, but it started getting into my nerves and I even started using IE v7.0 again! I checked the Internet through forums to see if I can find anyone who had the same problem with a solution, but was totally unsuccessful. So in a spur moment of deep thinking, I thought: "Why don't I update Firefox and see if that will help". So I clicked on Help > Check for Updates and found out that there was V3.0! What? When did that happen? Anyways, I downloaded the file and installed it, rebooted Firefox and There it is! A new Firefox look, I decided to work on it for a couple of hours and see if I still get the "Lag" issues again, and Violla! That's when the update took away all my problems. And got me back to using Mozilla Firefox again. :)
